Break the Defeat

Nothing inspires a poet like their favorite team winning after all odds against them. Here is a poem dedicated to FC Barcelona, which taught me how never to give up.

We made it through the wind,

We made it through the fire;

We broke down all walls,

Raised ourselves even higher.

When times seemed so dark,

Hopes seemed so dull;

We fought back again,

We came back for the run.

All passion seemed lost,

The spirit to battle died;

We believed in ourselves,

Through the spell we would glide.

Those failures left us shattered,

Fallen and scared deep within;

We picked ourselves up,

And grabbed us the win.
