Before you start reading it, my apologies if i happen to hurt any of your religious sentiments. This article is in noway intended to hurt anyone as I truly believe in the live and let live policy.
Iron Maiden, Cradle of Filth, Black Sabbath, Jimi
Hendrix, Freddie Mercury, Lady Gaga; the list goes on. Most of these bands or
musicians have been associated with Devil Worship in some way. Rumour has it that Lady Gaga and Beyonce are
Diabolist. Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, along with many others from the 27
club sold their soul to the Devil and were hence taken at the pinnacle of their
career at the age of 27. Many others being killed by the group of Illuminati
who work for the Devil.
Are these really examples of Devil worship? Or a result
of drug overdose, alcoholism, extravagant sex life and accidents.
To be honest, these musicians have nothing to with the
Devil. These are rumours created by some jealous low self esteemed morons who couldn’t
believe these musicians were talented.
Some of you must have heard of the ‘Black Metal Circle.’
They are a cult in Norway, known to have burned down Churches, play the music
of evil, mess with graveyards and create blasphemy. They were known to be
Satanist. The whole concept of Diabolism popularized from them. But however the
truth in astonishingly different. The cult leader Euronymous confessed that he terrorized
the people behind the mask of Satan to instill fear of God in people. So on the
contrary, they worshipped good Lord himself.
Then what really is Devil Worship? Why would anyone in
their right mind worship a force of evil? Sacrificing dear lives in the name of
the Dark God, how does that make sense? Has it ever occurred to you that Devil worshipers have a genuine reason to worship? How did this Devil Worship really
start at the first place?
In the Middle Age, the Church and the
kings tried their best to replace all religions with Christianity. When some of
the public refused to believe in the so-called Word of God and continued to
follow their former religion, the priests decided to use the wrong means. They labeled
all other religions as Devil worship. This is how Paganism got a negative name.
Why, even Hindus was termed as Diabolist. Out of fear, many accepted the Bible.
The priests also saw
Science as a threat to religion. They believed great minds like Galileo, Isaac
Newton, Leonardo Da Vinci were also Satanist. (Science students might agree on
this one because they torture us with their theorems and laws. But that’s another
issue now.) Women were expected to be submissive to their husbands. The feminists
were termed as witches and burned down. Gays and transgenders were considered
as the followers of evil too. The preists even put atheists and agnostics under
that category. In short, whatever was not Christian was a Diabolist.
Though none of these were actual Satanist,
they have a similar mentality. Devil worshippers are great believers of
freedom. They have an open approach to life. They don’t believe in Heaven or
Hell, they make the place they live in one. They believe in equality and the ‘live
and let live’ policy. The God they worship is just a fallen defeated hero.
In Egyptian mythology,
Horus was the God of sky and day. His twin Set was the God of night,
thunderstorm and desert. Certain sects worshipped the former, certain latter.
When these sects broke into a war, the former sect won. This is how Set came to
be known as a Devil.
Set was simply the God
of darkness. During ancient time, most people feared the dark. Simple reason
being the lack of light. Besides carnivores wandered about and made a meal of
their cattle and children. Night is more vulnerable to flu. Hence it was
considered the Devil’s time.
At some point of time,
you must have heard of Lilith, better known as the Devil’s bride. She is said
to wander at night and molest innocent(not really) men. She is often associated
with fertility and child birth evil. She is believed to have sex for pure
pleasure. This is what everyone believes. However Devil worshippers have a
different tale to tell.
Lilith was created
alongside Adam. He always dominated and believed that she must surrender to
him. That did not go well with Lilith and she left him. She stood up for what
she believed in and demanded equality. This is the reason why Devil worshippers
adore her. She did not fear the convectional beliefs of Adam. However she was
banished into the underworld for the same.
Devil worshippers
follow such misunderstood heroes. They believe in ideas shunned by normal
humans. They don’t pray to the evil, they just pray to something different.
There are heartless creatures who sacrifice children and animals in the name of
Devil. But so have the ones who follow the whiter Lord. You cannot deny that no
wars have been fought in the name of religion. Hitler punished innocent simply
because they were Jews. The 26/11 encounter in Mumbai, where terrorists like
Kasab attacked us in the name of Jihaad. Kasab boasted proudly that he didn’t regret
taking away so many lives. The middle age priests burned down innocent women
calling them witch. Hasn’t all this happened in the name of God, not Devil. The
world wars were fought by people who followed God. Are you to tell me that only
Devil worshippers sacrifice then I have news for you. More hearts have bled in
the name of God.
Diabolists are just
ordinary humans like us. They also enjoy ordering a pizza on a movie night. They
are more worried about who will win El Classico* than killing sheep. They just
try to understand the losing side rather than believing that the winning side
are the best.
I am not encouraging
you to start off with Satanism. If it were upto me, I would abolish all
religion. Neither am I blaming Christianity or any other religion here. All
religions were started with a purpose of giving us hope and something to
believe in. It’s the people who have corrupted them. I just want you to
understand the other side of the story. Just open your eyes and arms to
differences. See the world from another pair of eyes. And stop carrying that
black and white label with you wherever you go.
